WHY DO YOU HAVE/MAINTAIN THIS SITE?
This site is my attempt at a meaningful Joe Nemechek (Unofficial) Website. I am actively working on the site, trying to build up a site that will have what I've always spent a lot of time trying to find -- information on Joe Nemechek and NEMCO Motorsports. It seems that for years, I've had to hunt and peck all over the internet; but hopefully, you won't have to do that anymore. Here are some of the things that I already have in the works, which will begin debuting soon:
- Current Race Information (Winston Cup and Busch Series)
- Links to Articles Found on the Internet
- Stats, Graphs and Data
- Who's Who Among Nemechek Fans
- A Directory of Joe Nemechek Diecasts (with photos)
... and a whole lot more. Some of these things will take longer than others (so be patient regarding the Diecast pages). Well, that's all the intro I have for now. I hope you enjoy what I've got together so far, but more importantly, I hope you come back from time to time as I continue to build the content herein. THANKS!
ISN'T THIS JOENEMECHEK.NET? WHY LAJOIE AND REUTIMANN STUFF?
Yes, this is a site dedicated to Joe Nemechek, but as Joe also runs NEMCO Motorsports which fields the cars for Randy LaJoie (who drives for Evans Motorsports) and David Reutimann (who is running the NEMCO #88 for five races in 2003), I include certain amounts of information for them too. If you think I include too much LaJoie/Reutimann stuff (or not enough), drop me a line at webmaster@joenemechek.net to let me know.
I HAVE A SUGGESTION
Great! Please let me know what additions or improvements you'd like to see on this site. After all, content is king when it comes to useful websites. You can send your suggestion via e-mail to webmaster@joenemechek.net.
WHERE DO I BUY NEMECHEK STUFF?
Well, a lot of places. Some stores still have Nadeau #25 stuff, but many have either general #25 merchandise (no driver specifics), or Joe Nemechek #25 merchandise. See the "Merchandise" link on the left for a list of locations I've found that carry Nemechek merchandise. If you know of any that are not on the list, please send it via e-mail to webmaster@joenemechek.net.
IS IT NEMECHEK OR NEMECHECK? AND HOW DO YOU PRONOUNCE IT?
It's Nemechek, not Nemecheck, and it is commonly misspelled. That is something to keep in mind if you are using Search Engines to locate information on Joe, or items in auctions. Often times you can find additional items if you use the misspelled version. As to pronunciation, its pronounced with a Long E (KNEE-me-chek). Yes, Larry McRenyolds and other announcers use the short e (nim-a-chek), but that's incorrect. . But, as Joe once indicated in a USAToday.com Chat session: "It doesn't matter to me. Some of those guys just pronounce it that way ever since I got into the sport. I think everybody knows who they're talking about."
